How to Dress Like Selena Gomez: Get Selena's Style

Selena Gomez is an American actress and singer of Mexican and Italian descent. She is most famous for her role as Alex Russo in the Emmy Award winning Disney TV show "Wizards of Waverly Place." She has also starred in films such as "Another Cinderella Story" and "Princess Protection Program."

What is Selena's Style?
What I love about Selena and her style is that she does everything just right. Not perfectly, but to her comfort level. What do I mean? When Selena is just hanging out, running errands, etc. she keeps things VERY low key, which is a nice departure from the usual young Hollywood starlets going to the gas station in full make-up. But, she does bring it for any red carpet. She looks great dressed up or down!

I also love that Selena dresses her age. She's in her teens not her thirties; and she makes this known through her style. It's not attractive seeing 17 year old girls dress like their 35!

Selena's Casual Style
Like mentioned above, Selena loves to stay comfortable when she's not doing red-carpet stuff. There are a few key elements you can keep in mind when trying to adopt your own version of Selena's relaxed look.

1. Classic Selena outfits always include a fun t-shirt. She loves t-shirts with cool graphics and messages. (Who didn't in High School?)

2. Selena always pairs her t-shirts with skinny jeans and skinny pants. She is *all* about the skinny! It's hard to spot her in pants that aren't of the skinny variety.

3. Minimal jewelry and accessories. Selena doesn't layer on the jewels; contrary, she lets her smile and shiny locks have all the attention!

I love the young classic chignons she plays with. My favorite Selena look? The dress she wore for the People's Choice Awards. (directly below) Her hair looks amazing, her skin is glowing, the make-up is natural and best of all the dress print is young and beautiful. I especially love the unique slit cascading from short to long. And once again, the jewelry is minimal!
